About the event
Code Like a Girl invited me to speak with a cohort of junior engineers in their programme about what to expect from a career in software engineering.
We discussed the skills and capabilities companies look for, how to approach the work and what helps someone stand out when starting their career. I shared my perspective from working in engineering and helping teams grow, with practical advice they could take into their first roles.
