Secret Travel
An iOS and Android app for lower-airfare alerts that grew into a web flight and hotel search and booking platform.

About the project
I co-founded Secret Travel in my first year of university. It started as an iOS and Android app that helped people find lower airfares for the trips they wanted to take. My main responsibility was designing and developing the mobile app.
People set an origin and destination city, and we tracked airfare prices through a web scraper. When we found a fare below the usual price for that route, or for nearby cities, we sent them a notification. It gave travellers a way to spot opportunities without repeatedly searching for the same trip.
We later expanded onto the web, building our own flight and hotel search and booking system. Reaching people beyond the mobile apps helped the products grow to over 100,000 unique users during Secret Travel’s 2016–2020 run.
When COVID hit, my co-founder and I decided to part ways and bring Secret Travel to a close.
