Checkout Extensibility Beta
Early work on Shopify Checkout Extensibility, from developer feedback to the first live checkout on Ghanda Clothing and the idea for Checkout Components.

About the project
I worked with Mani Fazeli, VP of Product at Shopify, alongside Michael Elmgreen and Eytan Seidman on Shopify’s Checkout Extensibility framework before the developer preview. We were given early access to build checkout extensions and feed back on how the framework worked in practice.
That feedback covered the hooks and APIs available to developers, the deployment process and how extensions were hosted. Working with those early capabilities gave me a close view of what the new checkout could make possible for merchants.
I went on to deploy the world’s first checkout using Checkout Extensibility for Ghanda Clothing. That experience gave me the idea for Checkout Components.
